We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager for our Surfacing Solutions business across the North and West of Scotland. The role will be based at either of our office’s at Daviot Quarry near Inverness or Netherglen Quarry near Elgin.
Reporting to the General Manager you will lead the Surfacing Solutions operations team to obtain the required financial, sustainability and safety performance. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing relationships with key clients, including Bear Scotland, Amey and other private, industrial and commercial market customers as well as internal relationships within the wider Breedon Group.
Key Responsibilities
Internally – the Operations Manager will be responsible for all operational matters, reporting to the General Manager at an operational level. The team will work collaboratively and proactively with multiple internal stakeholders, including but not limited to Breedon GB Materials management team, Finance, Technical Team, Health Safety & Environment, HR and Sustainability functions.Externally – the Operations Manager and team will work dynamically and collaboratively with external clients, contractors, external material suppliers and the construction delivery and best practice communities.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
13. Experience of leading and developing teams at an operational level
14. A keen eye for detail focussing on driving quality throughout operational delivery
15. A strong technical understanding of material performance and adherence to specifications across the area
16. Experience of key client relationship management preferably within a similar sector
17. Ability to perform under pressure, analyse problems and evaluate data
18. Evidence of influencing and driving continuous improvement
