Massena Hospital is a cornerstone of our community, offering a wide range of medical, surgical, and pediatric care in a welcoming and compassionate environment. We are an acute care facility with 25 beds, dedicated to delivering top-notch healthcare services.
STATUS: Full-Time
LOCATION: Massena Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Respiratory Services
SCHEDULE: 7 PM - 7 AM Night Shift
ATTRIBUTES
* A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or an equivalent certificate is required.
* New York State Respiratory Therapist license required.
* ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hire.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Patient Care: Review and evaluate patient history, physical exams, vital signs, and respiratory care orders. Advise providers on appropriate respiratory care procedures and techniques.
* Planning & Documentation: Initiate and update respiratory care plans per department policy. Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care plans and document all clinical parameters and assessments.
* Education & Communication: Provide and document patient education for therapeutic procedures. Communicate patient clinical status to the healthcare team and participate in the training of new team members and students.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Ensure you meet the educational and certification requirements as specified by the department for disease-specific care programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
M - Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $31.80 - $42.99
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
