Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
1. Develop innovative mechanical and structural design solutions for fuel-processing plant and fuel cell generator systems.
2. Create 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings for welded parts, assemblies, skids, piping and plant equipment.
3. Support product development from concept through prototyping, testing and production.
4. Undertake FEA, manual stress analysis and hand calculations to validate designs.
5. Work from P&IDs to design skids, plant layouts, piping, tubing and supporting frameworks.
6. Lead and contribute to internal peer reviews and formal design reviews with stakeholders.
7. Collaborate closely with manufacturing, electrical, quality and procurement teams to ensure functional, cost and quality requirements are met.
