The practice is located within a purpose-built health centre which opened in April 2015. We have a practice population of over 14,500 patients covering Kilsyth and adjacent villages. The practice is centrally located with good motorway links from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.
Kilsyth Medical Partnership is looking to expand our team with the addition of an Admin Assistant. The position would be permanent for 30 hours per week (ideally over 5 days). Annual leave would be 4 working weeks per calendar year and a pro-rata share of 10 public holidays. The successful candidate will need to have flexibility to cover at short notice for sickness or annual leave.
Duties would include Insurance reports IGPR, SARS, Copy records, all record requests from solicitors or insurance companies. DWP reports, privates fee's, report fee's and allocation to GP's, letter administration, stationery ordering and providing efficient support to the practice team with internal and external queries. The ideal candidate will be familiar with common business/IT software applications (e.g. MS Office). Previous experience in a primary care environment and/or knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous. Knowledge of Vision/Docman IT systems would be preferred but not a necessity as full training can be provided. Good computer skills, accuracy to detail and a strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality are essential for the role. The ideal candidate will also be well organised with their workload and able to work independently and as part of a wider team when required.
