Our client is seeking a Data Scientist for an 18-month fixed-term contract to support the Risk and Operations Division. This role will contribute to a Project aimed at leveraging innovative technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the authorisations process.
Key Responsibilities
•Support the development and implementation of an analytics-led approach to risk-based supervision.
•Work with divisional representatives to identify, develop, and test innovative tools to enhance regulatory processes.
•Query and analyse data from relational databases, ensuring data quality and understanding data models.
•Apply Machine Learning techniques, including Natural Language Processing, Optimisation, and Cognitive Computing, to solve regulatory challenges.
•Analyse complex digital data to generate insights and support decision-making.
•Design and implement data visualisation dashboards using tools
•Provide technical support and guidance on the development of digital tools for risk-based supervision.
•Collaborate with third-party contractors and internal stakeholders at all levels.
•Develop and maintain production-grade code in Python, R, and SQL.
•Prepare and present findings, demonstrations, and training sessions to project stakeholders.
What You Need
•Experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
•Strong technical skills in Python, R, and SQL, with experience in database querying and data manipulation.
•Knowledge of Machine Learning and data-driven decision-making.
•Ability to interpret and present complex data to a non-technical audience.
•Strong problem-solving skills with a keen interest in financial services and innovation.
•Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
•Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, R Shiny) is advantageous.
•Exposure to risk-based supervision, regulatory technology, or financial services is beneficial.
