In Data, we are responsible for delivering this data, news and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately. We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies and implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes. Our Team The Funds team in Data is responsible for the data management of the Bloomberg public funds data product. We cover hundreds of thousands of funds across every continent, consuming data from thousands of providers and transforming it into a consistent data model. The various datasets represent millions to billions of individually sourced and processed data points every year, reflecting the scale and complexity of the daily operations of the team. What's the role? The Funds team is looking for a motivated leader to manage one of our London based Technical Account Management teams. You will need to have knowledge of the funds industry and its related parties, as well as demonstrate an understanding of effective account management frameworks. You are an exemplary collaborator, and a highly motivated people manager who has a proven track record of defining and executing strategic product and commercial initiatives. As a natural problem solver, you thrive on building innovative and scalable solutions to complex problems. We'll trust you to: Recruit, mentor, and develop a team with diverse skills across account management, data analysis and data management; Mentor the team on best practices for account management and develop strategies to strengthen relationships with content partners and drive continuous improvements in data quality; Manage and coach the team on large and sophisticated data projects and business initiatives; Collaborate effectively with partners across Core Product, Enterprise, Engineering, Sales and other Data teams; Stay engaged with financial industry trends and how Bloomberg clients consume our data; Promote a culture of continuous improvement, learning, inclusion and innovation within your team. You'll need to have: A minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership experience*, or strong relevant experience as an individual contributor; Deep knowledge of financial markets, ideally within the Mutual Fund and ETF space; Strong understanding of data management, governance, and quality assurance practices; Expertise in data processing paradigms, tools, and technologies; Experience driving strategies, managing sophisticated projects, and proven ability to influence stakeholders; Strong project management and operational skills, with the ability to evaluate and measure success against team and product goals; Passion for mentoring and developing individuals; Good interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse partners. * Please note we use years of experience as a guide, but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role. We'd love to see: Well-honed listening skills, allowing you to draw understanding of your team and clients' needs; Experience using a Scrum Agile process; Experience with data visualization and analysis tools; Experience in semantic technologies, or an understanding of their structures.
