Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: You’ll be supporting a pleasant, quiet woman who lives in her own three‑bedroom semi‑detached home in a peaceful Liverpool neighbourhood. The property is modern, well‑presented, and consists of a roomy lounge with kitchen downstairs, three bedrooms upstairs, and a walk‑in shower room. There are gardens to the front and rear, along with off‑road parking. The home is close to local amenities and a shopping park, with excellent transport links, including a nearby train station. The person we support has a mental health diagnosis and is supported 24/7 by day and waking night staff. While she requires full support with daily living, she is a very independent lady who responds well to encouragement, reassurance and gentle prompts to do as much for herself as possible. She enjoys a close, loving relationship with her sister, with regular phone calls and visits, and this relationship is really important to her. The person we support also has her own car and loves getting out and about to: Visit cafés and shops Travel locally and further afield Enjoy time out in the community For this reason, a full UK manual driving licence is essential. The role involves supporting with: Daily living tasks Emotional support and reassurance Medication Community activities and outings Encouraging independence and choice Shift patterns include: Day shift: 08:00–20:00, with a flexible element 10:30–16:30 Waking night shift: 20:00–08:00 This role is about offering consistent, compassionate support that helps the person we support to feel safe, confident and empowered in her own home. Your values: We know it takes someone special to work in social care — and that doesn’t always mean having experience.
