An arms-length body of government, responsible for growing and developing grassroots sport and getting more people active across England, are looking for an interim Legal Counsel for an initial 3-month contract.
As the Legal Counsel, you will join the Legal Services team to support on providing comprehensive professional legal advice on a whole spectrum of legal issues. Day to day you will be responding to requests from the organisation including drafting grant award and/or funding agreements, supply agreements as well as advising on company, charity, intellectual property and property law, company administration, FOI applications and GDPR.
To be considered, you should be a qualified solicitor or barrister (UK or equivalent jurisdiction) with at least 3 years PQE. Previous practical legal post qualification experience including but not limited to administrative, commercial, property law and/or experience of negotiating and drafting contracts is preferred. Experience of working within a public body is desirable as is experience of public procurement and/or intellectual property.
This role offers a day rate of £230.77 + holiday pay PAYE or £320.29 Umbrella. You should expect to attend the office two days a week (London).
