An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Emergency Department Team in Guernsey. This locum position offers a 3-month block booking with flexible part-time or full-time hours and a highly competitive hourly rate.

What you will do
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the Emergency Department.
* Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing interventions.
* Work autonomously while recognising when escalation to senior staff is required.
* Support and mentor newly appointed nursing staff where appropriate.
* Promote health education for patients and their families.
* Report incidents and participate in clinical governance and safety processes.
* Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Take charge of the ward or service area when required, maintaining high standards of practice.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
About you
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
* Previous experience working within an Emergency Department or acute setting.
* Confident working in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical environment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
