Job Title: Stores Operative
Hours of Work: Full Time

Overall Purpose of the Role
The Stores Operative is responsible for ensuring that production requirements are met through the accurate and timely supply of kits, stock control, and goods movements. The role also involves supporting stocktaking activities, maintaining ERP system accuracy, and providing cover during periods of absence within the Stores function.
Key Responsibilities
 * Complete daily kitting of work orders for the Manufacturing Team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in line with KPIs.
 * Deliver kits, consumables, and materials to relevant departments across the business.
 * Organise and maintain the warehouse and inventory areas, ensuring effective storage, handling, and labelling.
 * Accurately maintain stock levels within the ERP system and carry out physical checks where required.
 * Conduct cyclical and annual stock counts; investigate and correct discrepancies.
 * Highlight and report stock levels exceeding maximums on the MRP system.
 * Support Manufacturing with Work In Progress investigations and rectifications.
 * Maintain and replenish Kanban stations on the shop floor.
 * Record and monitor KPI data daily.
 * Support Stores, Goods In, and Supply Chain colleagues with additional tasks as required.
 * Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all stores and goods-in areas.
 * Respond promptly to requests from other business areas via the stores request system.
Requirements
 * 3 or more GCSEs, preferably including Maths and English.
 * Ability to log and collate information/data accurately.
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 * Minimum 1 year in a similar stores/warehouse role.
 * Experience using ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, 123i).
 * Experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
 * Ability to safely carry and move heavier loads.
 * Training in warehouse best practice (e.g., Health & Safety, First Aid, Tools & Equipment).
 * Understanding of CAD or technical drawings.
 * Knowledge of 5S/Continuous Improvement.
 * Familiarity with warehouse and stores best practices.
 * Knowledge of customs and logistics processes.
 * Experience prioritising workload to business requirements.
 * Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
 * Competence in MS Excel or Google Sheets.
 * Experience with customs clearance.
