The successful candidate will need the ability to work autonomously within the context of a multi-disciplinary team approach and undertake specific work with young people and their families. Excellent assessment skills and the ability to formulate clinical decisions and management plans are essential, including assessment and management of risk.

The role will be within Tameside and Glossop CAMHS CORE team assessing and formulating treatment plans for young people, offering CBT for those young people who require it.

You will strive to achieve the best for every young person, show commitment to delivering evidence based practice and have the capability of making clinical decisions around complex and emotive issues, supported by knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding in relation to the client group. A key focus of the service leadership team will be implementing transformation that ensures timely access to high quality care. Our vision is for our local community to be well equipped to support the young people of Tameside and Glossop to grow up with good emotional health and wellbeing. We work closely with our partners in education, children’s services and the 3rd sector to achieve the recently developed ambitious Local Transformation Plan for CAMHS services.
