As the HGV Driver Team Leader, you are the bridge between strategy and execution. You will ensure our drivers, systems, and vehicles don’t just meet industry standards—they set them.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Manage the tanker driver team, overseeing planning, job pack completion, and performance KPIs.
* Compliance & Safety: Conduct driver inductions, vehicle inspections, and safety checks. You’ll be responsible for risk assessments and maintaining audit‑ready defect reports.
* Operational Readiness: Create and update contingency plans to ensure we hit planning thresholds during water supply interruptions.
* Technical Oversight: Undertake tanker sampling, attend sites to troubleshoot issues, and ensure water hygiene standards are impeccable.
* Personnel Management: Record driver infringements, handle disciplinary matters in liaison with HR, and foster a culture of accountability.
What You’ll Bring
* Water Hygiene Qualification: A fundamental understanding of safety and cleanliness protocols.
* Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of water tankers and the water sampling process.
* Operational Grit: The ability to attend sites, perform emergency testing, and find solutions under pressure.
* Organisation: Self‑motivated with the ability to manage complex schedules and records.
* Previous experience in people management or team leadership.
* A background in logistics or fleet compliance.

Compensation package
Up to £43,470.00 depending on experience
