A leading utilities contractor specialising in the water and civil engineering sectors. Delivering specialist non-infrastructure works across water and wastewater treatment and pumping facilities, focusing on critical assets within treatment site boundaries — including power, process, control, and civil structures.
As the Group’s specialist provider of MEICA services (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation), we offer fully integrated delivery from MCC panel manufacture and automation through to systems integration and commissioning
The Role
We are passionate about delivering excellence across our non-infrastructure projects and are looking for a like-minded Risk Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team.
This is a key role supporting project teams and senior stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities that directly influence performance, delivery, and long-term business success. You will lead structured risk management processes across multiple projects, ensuring strong governance, clear visibility of emerging issues, and proactive mitigation planning.
Working closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders, you will monitor risk exposure, analyse qualitative and quantitative data, and produce high-quality reporting to support informed decision-making. You will also play an important role in continuously improving our risk management framework and embedding a positive, forward-thinking risk culture across the business.
What the Role Requires
We are seeking a confident, analytical, and collaborative risk professional with a proactive mindset and strong stakeholder engagement skills. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment, communicating clearly at all levels, and driving improvements that deliver real value.
Key skills and experience include:
* Strong understanding of integrated risk management principles and their application across projects or programmes
* Proven experience facilitating risk workshops and engaging a wide range of stakeholders
* Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative risk data (probabilistic modelling experience desirable; training available)
* Good awareness of project controls and the interaction between cost, schedule, performance, and risk
* Familiarity with risk management tools and data visualisation platforms such as ARM, Xactium, Predict, Safran, @Risk, Tableau or Power BI
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently
* Demonstrated experience delivering risk management solutions on complex or high-value projects
Desirable qualifications and experience:
* Project experience within the utilities or environmental sectors, preferably water
* IRM or APM risk qualification (or working towards)
