A well‑established legal firm in Belfast is seeking a proactive and highly organised Facilities Officer to support the smooth running of its premises and facilities operations. This part‑time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys variety, and can confidently manage both people and processes.
Your new role
You’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day facilities management, ensuring the building, services, and support functions run efficiently. The rolebines hands‑on coordination, contractor liaison,pliance scheduling, and oversight of the Post Team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing the Post Team, including daily task allocation, holiday planning, and issue resolution.
2. Coordinating building maintenance, including electricians, plumbers, painters, air‑conditioning engineers, and cleaning teams.
3. Organising annual Fire Risk Assessments and all associated fire safety services (extinguishers, signage, fire safety plan, PAT testing, EICR testing).
4. Scheduling bi‑annual Legionella surveys and ensuringpliance records are up to date.
5. Monitoring the cleaning contract and reporting issues to the HR Manager.
6. Obtainingpetitive quotes for repair and maintenance work.
7. Liaising with contractors and ensuring work ispleted to required standards.
8. Supervising car park arrangements and working closely with Security.
9. Managing water cooler supplies and maintenance.
10. Maintaining facilities spreadsheets and documentation using Excel.
What you'll need to succeed
ExperienceMinimum 2 years’ experience in a Facilities role within a professional services setting (legal, financial, consultancy, etc.).
Skills & Abilities:
11. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise across teams and with external contractors.
12. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
13. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
14. Proficient in MS Excel and Word, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
What you'll get in return
Salary range £27,000 - £30,000 Full Time Equivalent.
A varied and engaging part‑time position within a respected legal firm. Flexible part-time working arrangements can be tailored to 5 half days or 3 full days.
