St Martha's Mental Health Unit is a locked mental health unit located in the New Forest for both women and men aged 55 with a diagnosed mental health condition. We are part of the St Magnus community.
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our team. As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our laundry facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and clothing items according to company standards.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Handle all laundry chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Keep laundry area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
-Report to management any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a client, colleague, self or other.
-Attend mandatory training days on or off site/ as and when required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
- Uphold a high level of customer service by responding promptly to requests and inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of laundry procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 42 per week
