We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Receptionist to provide full-time temporary cover in a busy secondary school environment. This School Receptionist role is to start next Monday and is expected to run for approximately 6 weeks, with potential to extend.
The successful School Receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students, so a professional, organised, and approachable manner is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the front desk as a School Receptionist, greeting visitors and handling enquiries
Answer and direct phone calls efficiently
Use school systems such as SIMS or Arbor to manage data and daily tasks
Support with administrative duties and maintain accurate records
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a School Receptionist in a school setting
Strong working knowledge of SIMS, Arbor, or similar school systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A valid enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
