What You’ll Be Doing
* Working in one of our Agile delivery squads, following a DevOps model owning the full lifecycle of your product—from design to deployment and beyond.
* As an engineer in one of the Cloud teams, you’ll get to work across a wide range of systems and environments.
* Be part of a team responsible for designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure. Supporting our application teams by investing in a robust, scalable, and secure Cloud Platform.
* Helping to build and support our services using a modern cloud-first approach, with millions of transactions flowing through the systems you help create.

* EKS & AWS Lambda (Node.js) – powering our services
* OrgFormation – managing our AWS landing zone
* Instana – monitoring everything that matters
* ArgoCD – deploying our applications with ease
* Azure EntraID – managing identities securely
* Elastic – shipping and analyzing logs
* CloudFormation & Terraform – infrastructure as code
* PagerDuty – keeping us alert and responsive
There is also an optional opportunity to be part of an on-call rota to work outside of normal working hours to support critical services. On call hours apply between the hours of 17:00 and 07:00 Monday to Friday and over a 24 hour period on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
An on-call allowance of up to £4,500 will be applied as a non-consolidated, non-pensionable annual payment, paid in monthly instalments through salary and subject to Tax and NI deductions.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
* Developing code to meet user needs.
* Following best-practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelines.
* Writing clean, secure and well tested code.
* Coaching and mentoring more junior colleagues.
* Operating the services they build and identifying issues in production.
