Salary: Salary commensurate with experience
Office Hours: Monday to Friday - Core Hours 10-4:30pm, Contracted hours 37.5 hours / week
Haigh Architects is a well-established RIBA Chartered Practice working throughout the Lake District World Heritage Site, National Parks and Cumbria for almost 80 years.
The practice has a reputation for high quality work on a wide range of both domestic and commercial projects. Our workload includes designing new buildings in sensitive locations as well as refurbishments, alterations and extensions to country houses, barns and churches. Many of our projects have a particular focus on conservation and sustainability. We are a small team looking to strengthen the service we provide to our clients.
The successful applicant for this role would have:
* Qualification or training and experience working in Architectural Conservation
* Sound knowledge and a genuine interest in architectural history, building conservation and traditional building techniques for projects of varying sizes
* Confidence in working on technical design drawings and excellent attention to detail
* Evidence of a strong design portfolio with proven creative skills
* Proficiency in CAD (we use Vectorworks)
* Good knowledge of planning and building control requirements and experience of contract and site administration
* Confidence in working alone and unsupervised as well as working well within a team
