Senior Structural Engineer Leicester (Hybrid) - 2 Days WFH £45,000 - £55,000 benefits package About the Role An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a well-established and award-winning structural engineering team in Leicester. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to take ownership of projects, support junior staff, and play a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions across a varied portfolio. Key Responsibilities Deliver structural design solutions across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, and healthcare Take responsibility for projects from concept through to completion Produce and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and BIM Level 2 requirements Project Portfolio Projects across the East Midlands and UK Sectors include education, healthcare, industrial, commercial, and residential Project values ranging from £250k to £30m Experience & Skills Minimum of 5–10 years’ experience in structural engineering Strong design experience in steel, timber, masonry, and reinforced concrete Good understanding of geotechnical engineering principles Experience working within BIM Level 2 environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Qualifications Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Working towards Chartered status (IStructE or ICE) preferred Personal Attributes Strong communication skills Ability to manage workload independently Collaborative and team-oriented approach Motivated to develop and progress professionally What’s on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Pension scheme Healthcare and wellbeing support Ongoing training and professional development Clear career progression opportunities
