Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

The Role: Estimator / Quantity Surveyor
You will join the successful estimating and preconstruction team, working on refurbishment and fit-out schemes up to £4m in value. This dual role combines estimating duties with cost management responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities include:
* Site survey and scoping, including scope price build-up
* Preparing accurate cost estimates and conducting cost analysis
* Managing budgets, valuations, and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle
* Collaborating with engineers, architects, and contractors to resolve issues
* Assessing cost effectiveness and identifying potential financial risks
* PQQ/ITT/ITN support and submissions
* Subcontract enquiry management and procurement
* Adjusting estimates and budgets based on project changes
* Maintaining records of estimated and actual costs
* Liaising with multiple customers and managing departmental tasks
* Producing pre-construction deliverables and enforcing quality standards
* Sharing best practices and aligning with core business values
* Ensuring timely turnaround of quotations and meeting SLAs
* Supporting departmental growth with innovative approaches
The Right Person:
* Fit out or refurbishment commercial or housing experience.
* Familiarity with multi-trade estimating
* Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications
* Strong IT skills and adaptability to relevant software
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Diligence, reliability, and a proactive approach
* Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
Working Hours: 8:00 – 17:00
