Do you have substantial knowledge and experience in operations, maintenance, and management of a waste-wood or similar solid-fuelled Power Plant? Then you might be our new Assistant Shift Team Leader to join our team at Craigellachie Biomass combined heat and power plant.
Reporting to the Shift Team Leader and O&M Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the plant is operated with respect to safety, environmental, and operational limits at all times, whilst maximising availability, reliability, efficiency, and ensuring the plant is dispatching in consultation with PPA/DNO to fulfil system operator and PPA arrangements.
In consultation with the Shift Team Leader and authorisations, ensure the release of plant/apparatus is made in line with the agreed planning schedule and the site’s safety rules.
Be part of the shift team to actively deliver, using ‘on-shift’ resources, the planned and reactive first-line maintenance, operational routines, and testing requirements to achieve availability and reliability targets.
Ensure adherence to and the development of all site operations procedures and management instructions.
Undertake the role of the Shift Team Leader from time to time, as per delegated authority and having achieved the required authorisations.
Work flexible working patterns in support of the business, being able to change working patterns where necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Carry out other responsibilities and duties as required by the company, commensurate with the position.
Some occasional and ad-hoc national travel may be required.
