THE ROLE We are seeking a registered Practice Nurse (NMC registered, with a nursing degree) who brings at least 3 years of experience in general practice to our team. You will play a key role in providing comprehensive nursing servicesincluding health assessments, cardiovascular and metabolic testing, and phlebotomywithin a supportive and innovative private practice environment. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including: Phlebotomy (venepuncture) VO max testing Measurement and evaluation of BMI and body fat index Exercise testing Electrocardiograms (ECGs) Conduct general and specialised nursing duties typical in a GP setting. Wound care and dressing changes Blood pressure measurement and basic health screening Administering vaccinations and immunisations (routine, travel, etc.) Chaperoning and assisting during examinations or minor procedures Reviewing and managing patients with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, respiratory issues) Maintain accurate clinical records, manage clinical equipment and supply, and ensure adherence to infection control protocols Support or contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development opportunities THE PERSON Applicants must have: Nursing degree (BSc or equivalent) in an NMC?regulated field (e.g., adult nursing) Current, valid NMC registration Minimum of 3 years experience working within general practice Demonstrated competence in Phlebotomy and performing ECGs Strong clinical assessment, attention to detail, and patient?centred communication skills Proficiency with healthcare IT systems and accurate record?keeping In addition, it would be beneficial but not essential if you had: Experience in chronic disease management clinics (e.g., diabetes, COPD, cardiovascular disease) Training or experience with additional diagnostics (e.g., VO? max, BMI, body fat index, exercise testing spirometry, peak flow) Familiarity with clinical governance, audit, and continuous quality improvement processes SALARY Our client is offering a highly competitive package with the exact details dependent upon the successful applicants level of relevant experience.
