As part of the National Social Enterprise Leadership Team, you’ll lead the NSW social enterprise operations, managing a diverse team and delivering impactful programs that support young people into employment. Full-time, 38 hours/week (Monday–Friday) Vehicle for work use and home garaging Supportive and collaborative team culture This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong operational focus. you will Lead and manage the NSW Social Enterprise team of 4 direct reports and site operations Build a culture of Safety Always and WHS compliance Deliver high-quality services and mentoring for young people Manage budgets, financial and performance KPIs Lead business development and customer engagement activities Oversee quoting, tender submissions, and contract negotiations Plan and manage fee-for-service and contracted works from end to end Ensure compliance with technical specifications, permits, and safety codes Maintain accurate digital records and reporting systems what we are looking for You’re a strategic and operational leader with a trade background and a passion for empowering young people. You bring strong business acumen, project delivery skills, and a safety-first mindset. you will bring A relevant trade qualification (e.g. construction, landscaping, building asset management) 7 years in leadership or management Experience in quoting, scheduling, and winning jobs Proven project management and contract delivery experience Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience in tendering and business development Ability to work with diverse groups, especially young people Understanding of issues facing young people Exposure to employment services or community development programs and understanding of the labour market (highly regarded) your benefits We’re a resilient, resourceful, and dedicated team who don’t accept the status quo.
