Job Description
3. Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including billing
4. Chasing outstanding debtors
5. Bank reconciliations
6. Preparing the monthly management accounts
7. Balance sheet reconciliations
8. Prepare accurate financial reports against budget and present them to stakeholders.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
10. Manage payroll and monitor cash flow to support operational needs.
11. Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategies and decision-making.
12. There are lots of opportunities to improve and update internal financial controls and processes.
The Finance Manager will also play a large role in the procurement and facilities management for the organisation. It is a small team and so this role although predominantly finance, will be more of an Office Manager role encompassing a wide range of duties.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Manager should have:
13. A recognised accounting qualification or equivalent experience in accounting and finance.
14. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
15. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial planning effectively.
16. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
17. Analytical skills with a detail-oriented and organised approach.
18. Experience in the not-for-profit sector is advantageous but not essential.
A team player 'can-do' attitude is essential!
