Our client, a reputable manufacturing company in Smethwick - West Midlands, is currently looking for a Machine Operator to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
Job Overview:
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machinery to make materials to a high standard. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and precision are crucial. Training will be provided for this role also so if you have a great attention to detail and willing to learn this could be the right role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery to perform tasks
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to ensure machines are set up correctly
- Handle materials with care and precision
- Work with tooling/measuring equipment to ensure parts meet Quality required
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Prior experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings is preferred
- Ability to operate machinery to fabricate materials
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of tooling equipment
- Familiarity with logic controllers and materials handling techniques
