Overview
Due to the continuing expansion of Heritage House School and an increase in numbers of learners on roll, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a class teacher to join our outstanding team. This is a permanent position for a teacher looking to develop and enhance their expertise in a special school. We are seeking to recruit a class teacher as we embark on the next stage of our school development to accommodate our growing numbers and add to our well-resourced environment. You will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team around you and with a programme of CPD opportunities.
We are looking for someone adaptive, creative, enthusiastic and dedicated to putting our learners at the heart of everything we do. The successful candidate will be a team player, flexible, calm and caring. You will be passionate about supporting learners to succeed and improve their life chances. You will be committed to working collaboratively to offer learners the opportunity to experience "life in its fullness" by doing what it takes, no matter what their starting point or challenges. Excellent teaching skills.
Experience of leading and managing a class team, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and experience of working as part of a multi-professional team are desirable attributes.
About Heritage House School
Heritage House is a special school for learners aged 2-19 with severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions and sensory/multi-sensory impairments. Our aim is to enable our learners to learn and achieve within an enriching, stimulating and enjoyable curriculum, ensuring they enjoy educational and social experiences which will prepare them for life beyond Heritage House School.
