Description Key Responsibilities: • Utilise project tools to define project scope, project plans, risks, actions, and tasks, in order to deliver project on time and in full. • Take ownership and responsibility for managing the work plan, monitor the schedule and budget. Manage project risk with contingency where appropriate, manage scope changes requests and protect against scope creep. Manage project milestones. • Manage issues and complex tasks within the project including managing client expectations and resolving client escalations. • Be the main point of contact for the clients and facilitate all communications and document the project as required. Be able to easily build trusting working relationships with clients. • Mentor those around them in aspects of the profession such as leadership, methodology, tools, people skills and navigating politics. • Build and improve project management processes to improve delivery and customer service. Work with the wider technical services team in order to deliver project tasks on time and work together to solve project issues. Make continuous improvement a priority. • Provide training and development for other project managers within the team, including both technical and soft skills required to be a successful project manager. Provide regular feedback and evaluate performance of individuals against KRA’s for the team. Perform mid-year and end of year reviews. • A senior Project Manager should understand the business need for each project and make on-going decisions based on what’s best for the organization, even if that means challenging senior stakeholders on critical success factors. • Work with the business development and proposals team to develop proposals for potential new clients and help bring new business to Morpeth. • Work with the technical services management team, to provide direction and leadership in order to work smarter, deliver to our clients, to grow new business for the Morpeth site, and to ultimately serve patients. Qualifications ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Degree educated – preferably in a scientific discipline. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Commercial/business acumen. Project management experience and/or qualification. Pharmaceutical industry experience.
