Were looking for a hands-on Contracts Manager to take charge of small works and extension projects within the social housing sector. This is a permanent role with one of the regions leading subcontractors, managing projects on behalf of local councils and housing associations. Youll be responsible for overseeing multiple small-scale building projects think kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, extensions, and minor works ensuring everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage and deliver multiple small works and extension projects from start to finish. Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Liaise with clients, council representatives, and tenants in a professional and courteous manner. Control budgets, monitor progress, and report on key project milestones. Conduct regular site visits to check progress, resolve issues, and maintain relationships. Ensure compliance with all health & safety, environmental, and contractual obligations. What Were Looking For Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Site Manager within social housing or general building works. Solid understanding of building trades and construction methods youll know your way around a site. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Strong client-facing skills and the ability to lead teams with confidence. Full UK driving licence (essential).
