Our client, a leading entity in the defence sector, is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to join their team in Bristol, UK. This permanent role offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in the financial management of projects across aerospace, aviation, and defence sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

o Prepare financial reporting packages and provide guidance to program managers on variances.
o Develop and maintain project baselines, monitor performance, and analyze estimate-at-complete developments.
o Oversee and evaluate program budgets and schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
o Implement, track, and analyze earned value management (EVM) systems, including maintenance and reporting.
o Organize cost and schedule data for monthly program reviews to ensure comprehensive oversight.
o Prepare and track funding plans, including forecasts for labor and subcontracting.
o Analyze data for monthly forecasting, focusing on orders, sales, operating income, and cash flow.
o Prepare Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) based on input from program teams.
o Engage in presentations and discussions during internal and external financial meetings.
o Establish and nurture effective working relationships to foster a collaborative environment.
Job Requirements:
o Experience in finance or accounting within the aerospace, aviation, or defense industries.
o Strong skills in financial reporting and analysis.
o Proficient in earned value management and project budgeting.
o Advanced expertise in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
o A proactive approach to problem-solving.
o Part-qualified or foundation level ACCA or CIMA.
o Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
o Prior experience in finance business partnering.
