Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Preston Park Family Wellbeing Centre and other locations from time to time

The Post

To provide administrative support to the manager and team within the Early Help Family Wellbeing Centre (FWC).

This will involve range of admin duties to keep the Wellbeing centre running smoothly such as acting as the first point of contact within the centre taking responsibility for maintaining professional communications with internal and external customers and partners by taking responsibility for all verbal/email/post/telephone queries and handling them as appropriate, assisting and signposting parents and professionals to services, minute taking at meetings, updating database systems and folders and taking ownership of the business support needs of the allocated Family Wellbeing Centre and have expert knowledge of their business processes.

The Person

You will be joining the well-established Business Support Service. We are looking for someone passionate about the work we do with children and the support provided to the children and their families. You will also join us in having a close working relationship with families and settings.

This role makes positive contributions to the services that Brent provides for children and young people. The ideal candidate will use their initiative and can work independently as well as being part of a highly motivated and professional team, resilient and solution focused, have strong communication skills effectively (oral and written). Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manners, and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners are all equally important. The successful candidate must be flexible, highly organised, be able to manage their workload and maintain attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have experience of good IT skills, word, PowerPoint and excel to carry out admin duties. The ability to confidently communicate with parents, partner agencies, stake holders, colleagues, and children, and basic minute taking experience is desirable as the role provides efficient and professional day to day support to the administrative needs of the Family Wellbeing Centre.
