Mould Maintainer | Preston | Full Time – 39 hours per week | £13.27 per hour

Supplying over 60 countries worldwide, they are a market leader in several European regions and continue to grow year on year, with a turnover of over 22m. The Jonesco group employs around 175 employees both at their Preston manufacturing and distribution site and at their subsidiary company, Jonesco Sarl based in Lille, France.
They are seeking a skilled and motivated Mould Engineer to join their engineering team in Preston. This role involves performing mould changes, structural and cosmetic mould repairs on and off the machines, and general mechanical tasks to support the Engineering teams as needed. It’s a physically demanding role that requires consistently high standards of workmanship, strong attention to detail, and strict adherence to all engineering and safety standards.

What will your role look like?
Mould Changing:
* Carry out all mould changes, including retrieval from and return to storage locations
* Inspect moulds to ensure they are in good condition before fitting
* Check and set date stamps correctly where fitted
* Ensure all machinery is safe for use following a mould change
* Maintain high safety standards at all times
* Provide the correct formers for each machine
Other Desirable aspects

* Formal engineering qualification (BTEC/C&G)
* FLT & Reach Truck experience
* Sheet metal working, use of abrasives/polishing in metalwork
* Rotational moulding
* Engineering background
Mould Maintenance:
* Carry out maintenance and repairs on moulds both on and off machines
* Perform running repairs and off-machine refurbishments
* Conduct stellite (hard facing / metal spraying) repairs
* Refurbish or replace mould doors
* Carry out external refurbishment and ice blasting
Other Responsibilities:
* Perform machinery repairs (e.g. roto rollers, plastic build-up removal, etc.)
* Support the Engineering Team with planned maintenance, breakdowns, and 5S activities
* Provide training and coaching to other team members
* Maintain high housekeeping standards and follow 5S principles
* Undertake other duties as required by the business
* Adhere to all Company Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) policies
