Purpose of the role:
Demand Planning is part of the UK Planning Team which includes Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production planning, Deployment, and S&OP.
The Demand Planning team plays a key role in leading the Sales & Operations Planning process within the UK Business Unit to ensure that imbalances between demand and supply are proactively identified and coordinated solutions are implemented in a timely manner. Demand Planning manages the demand signal across a group of product portfolios and customers to drive Supply Chain efficiency and support an accurate supply plan that maximizes service at minimum cost.
We are recruiting an Associate Director for this prestigious client. This role is responsible for leading the Demand Planning Team and the Demand S&OP process for the UK Business Unit.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director for Planning, the key responsibilities of the AD Demand Planning include:
* Leading and developing the Demand Planning team, supporting engagement and development.
* Managing all demand planning activities and routines.
* Charing monthly demand review meetings and driving demand/sales plan alignment through the S&OP process with Sales, Commercial Development, and Finance.
* Providing direction to Supply Planning on short and mid-term demand signals. Collaborating with Sales and Supply Chain to address gaps and implement corrective actions.
* Driving continuous improvement in IBP demand planning and S&OP processes, enhancing forecast accuracy, bias, and demand maturity levels. Collaborating with other Demand Planning leads to promote best practices.
* Contributing to the broader Supply Chain and Planning & Commercialization strategy through management of initiatives and projects.
* Demonstrating inclusive leadership, motivating, coaching, and developing the team.
Qualifications:
* Extensive Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and S&OP experience in FMCG, with a record of continuous process and KPI improvements.
* Proven team management and leadership skills, capable of delivering results through others.
* Excellent communication skills, including effective presentation and facilitation.
* Ability to communicate complex messages clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
* Influencing skills, with the ability to manage upwards and engage internal and external stakeholders.
* Highly analytical, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Experience managing conflicting agendas and dealing with complex, ambiguous information.
* Experience with demand or business planning systems in an integrated planning environment.
