What you’ll do
* Data Processing & Analysis
Work with large datasets from ground rig and flight trials. Use analytical techniques to evaluate radar performance against requirements and raise problem reports for detailed investigation.
Apply signal processing, image processing, and object classification techniques to extract actionable insights.
* Design, Integration, Testing & Validation
Investigate system anomalies using real trial data, ensuring performance meets specifications.
Develop design solutions to system problem reports and capability gaps.
Contribute to System Verification and Validation (V&V) activities as part of the continuous development and enhancement of the Radar System.
* Collaboration & Leadership
Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop and prototype cutting‑edge defence solutions.
Depending on experience, lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and influence engineering roadmaps.
What you’ll bring
* Competent / experienced in use of MATLAB, particularly for analysis of large data sets.
* Full V‑model lifecycle experience, with an emphasis on the middle‑to‑right‑side (Implementation, Integration, Testing and V&V).
* A science‑based Honours degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Excellent communication skills with an aptitude for cross‑discipline collaboration.
* A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to problem solving.
* Willingness to travel & support ground rig & flight trials.

* Understanding of radar or complex sensor systems.
* Proven experience leading systems engineering projects.
* Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage competing priorities effectively.
