Ashurst ward is a 11-bedded male psychiatric intensive care unit. We are looking for a staff nurse with a caring, non-judgmental, and inclusive attitude, who is committed to the delivery of safe, high quality care. Experience in an acute setting would be an advantage, but is not essential as we will provide you with all the training required.

Main duties of the job
You will assist our dedicated members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in implementing and evaluating individual care plans by working alongside the patient to support their recovery journey. Your duties will also include actively supporting individual clients in engaging with their local community and reducing social isolation.
you will:
* Be responsible for the co-ordination and management of the ward for a span of duty
* Assist in every aspect of the management of an acute inpatient unit
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to patients and carers
* Provide high quality of holistic nursing care to patients and carers
* Contribute to the development of acute inpatient services

Experience
* Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams

* Worked in a mental health setting
* Experience of working at Band 5 level, or equivalent, in an acute setting
Qualifications
* RMN Qualified
* Knowledge of MHA 2007
* Medical management training
