The Role:
As the Senior Level Wholesale Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s wholesale operations forward both on the sales and procurement aspects. You will be responsible for managing key customer relationships and ensuring the seamless supply of premium fresh produce to a range of customers across the UK. Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the wholesale division, ensuring alignment with the overall company objectives.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale customers, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service.
3. Source, negotiate, and manage supply agreements with growers and suppliers to ensure the consistent availability of high-quality fresh produce.
4. Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities within the wholesale sector.
5. Lead, motivate, and collaboratively work with a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and ongoing success.
6. Oversee your own budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance with agreed and set targets.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in wholesale sales/procurement within the fresh produce or food industry. You will have a proven track record of driving growth and profitability in a similar role, along with a deep understanding of the UK wholesale markets.
