HGV Class 2 Driver – Days
People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Driver – Days based in Birmingham, Aston, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay with long-term, ongoing work and genuine potential for progression.
Shifts • Monday to Friday – start times between 03:00 and 06:00
Rates of Pay • £16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties • Store deliveries (handball involved) • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently • Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Reporting any defects or maintenance needs • Assisting with loading and unloading as required • Using electric or manual pump trucks • Using tail lifts • Typically completing 7–8 deliveries/collections per shift
Essential Skills • Valid UK Category C Licence • Minimum 24 months' experience driving Category C vehicles • No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only) • Valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience • Experience driving commercial vehicles • Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided • Full industry-related training around processes and procedures with ongoing support
