National Account Manager – Food Manufacturing– Grocery & Discounters

This role’s about managing major grocery and discount retail accounts for a bakery and confectionery business with proper heritage and momentum. The kind of place where you’ll know the MD by name, not by Zoom square. Small team, fast decisions, and real impact.
You’ll report into the Head of Sales — who’ll give you direction when needed, but mostly, they’ll let you crack on. That means full account management responsibility from day one: commercials, promotions, forecasting, JBPs, the works.
What you’ll be doing:
* Managing key grocery and discounter accounts (this isn’t a support role — it’s yours to run)
* Owning P&Ls and building JBPs that actually get actioned
* Visiting customers regularly — you’ll be out of the office as much as you’re in it
* Working cross-functionally with teams that actually talk to each other
* Identifying where the growth is — and going after it
What we’re looking for:
* Someone who's managed retail accounts in Food Manufacturing or FMCG – bonus points for bakery and confectionery
* Sharp commercial instincts and the ability to think beyond “just keeping the lights on”
* Someone confident in front of customers, not just behind a laptop
* Hungry, driven, and switched-on — no need for hand-holding
* Based within a reasonable commute of North West London
* Full UK driving licence
