If you’re fascinated by how children think, feel, and develop, this role gives you front‑row seats. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll apply your understanding of behaviour, motivation, and emotional regulation to support pupils as they grow.
Ideal for Psychology graduates with hands‑on experience supporting young people through:
• coaching and mentoring
• youth groups (Scouts, Guides, church groups, after‑school clubs)
• sports teams
• SEND support
• childcare or community projects
You’ll build skills in:
* behaviour strategies
* safeguarding
* communication
* child development observation
* emotional support
…all of which feed directly into careers like Educational Psychology, Mental Health Support, Social Work, SEN specialism, and more.
✅ What You’ll Be Doing:
* Supporting the class teacher with engaging lessons and activities in group and one-to-one settings.
* Assisting with behaviour management and creating a positive learning environment.
* Acting as a role model, promoting teamwork, perseverance, and positive behaviour.
* Drawing on experience from education, youth groups, sports, clubs, or similar settings.
* Collaborating with staff to meet individual pupil needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
