Responsibilities Technical Strategy & Delivery Own solution design and planning for applications, services, and supporting Azure infrastructure. Set and maintain system architecture standards to ensure scalability, resilience, and maintainability. Partner with the Head of Product to align the roadmap with delivery priorities. Lead performance engineering to ensure the platform can handle projected workloads. Oversee root cause analysis of production issues, fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement. Define, track, and report on engineering KPIs to measure delivery effectiveness and system health. Engineering Leadership & Execution Maintain visibility across all engineering workstreams, providing guidance and technical oversight. Pair with developers to solve problems, mentor on best practices, and elevate technical quality. Facilitate agile ceremonies and manage team workflows. Balance roadmap delivery, technical debt, and operational maintenance through effective capacity planning. People & Culture Conduct regular 1:1s, support professional development, and align individual goals with company objectives. Recruit top engineering talent and ensure smooth onboarding. Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture that values accountability, learning, and experimentation. Governance, Security & Compliance Embed secure-by-design practices and ensure compliance with ISO27001, SOC2, and other standards. Participate in budget planning and report regularly to senior management on milestones and challenges. Qualifications Essential Technical Experience Proven expertise in system architecture and solution design for scalable, secure systems. Extensive hands-on experience with .NET Core, .NET Framework, and C#. Strong background in API development (RESTful and SOAP), SQL Server, and database design. Hands-on experience deploying .NET applications in Microsoft Azure. Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and automated build/test/deploy processes. Track record of root cause analysis and production support in live environments. Familiarity with secure-by-design principles and embedding security into the SDLC. Essential Other Experience 2-3 years in a senior role with a SaaS company during a scaling journey. Proven track record of building and maintaining data-centric products. Experience achieving ISO27001 and/or SOC 2 Type II certification. Desirable Experience Experience with buy-side M&A integration and regtech solutions. Familiarity with corporate registry data and AI/automation in data extraction or enrichment. Customer-facing exposure in technical pre-sales or solution-engineering discussions. Day-to-Day Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical strategy with business goals. Lead by example with hands-on coding abilities, whether fixing bugs or experimenting with new technologies. Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
