Job summary
Northumberland and North Tyneside Crisis Team are delighted to be recruiting for a clinical lead position within the young person's pathway.
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic clinician with leadership experience who is motivated to join our collective leadership team.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient care to service users. You will collaborate with the operational and clinical leadership teams across all three pathways of the universal crisis team.
The primary focus will be the young person's pathway, with support provided to the working age adult and older persons pathways as needed.
Main duties of the job
* Provide 7-day clinical lead oversight within the leadership team.
* Act as a role model to support and guide the team in delivering high-quality standards of care, responding to service demands, and managing complex situations.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health and safeguarding children.
* Ensure safe and effective practice through robust assessment and risk management skills.
* Communicate effectively, prioritize clinical demands, and support the clinical team.
* Provide clinical advice and supervision, including individual and group supervision, and contribute to staff appraisals.
* Deliver in-house training and support the embedding of clinical standards within the team.
* Monitor team clinical performance via audits and collaborate with the Team Manager to improve service quality and outcomes.
* Organize and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience providing clinical supervision to staff.
* Experience in positive clinical risk-taking and safety planning.
* Proven leadership in clinical services.
* Experience working with children and young people in a mental health setting.
* Knowledge of clinical supervision, health and safety policies, and WRAP.
* Experience working in a crisis team and within multi-agency systems.
Skills and Competencies
* Excellent communication and liaison skills.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
Education & Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse/Registered Learning Disability Nurse or equivalent professional qualification.
* Relevant clinical training and postgraduate qualification.
* Management or leadership qualification.
Personal Characteristics
* Ability to motivate others and work under pressure.
* Flexible attitude to work.
