Title: Facilities Assistant
Reports to: Team Leader
Salary: RLW £24,570 per annum, pro rata (£12.60 per hour)
Hours of work: Full Time (37.5 Hours)

Key Responsibilities
* Cleaning: Clean communal areas to a good standard of cleanliness. Tasks include sweeping, hoovering, dusting, mopping, emptying bins, shampooing carpets, cleaning interior windows and sills, cleaning woodwork and doors, wiping and sanitising surfaces, and polishing.
* Cleaning: Clean office areas to a good standard of cleanliness. Tasks include sweeping, hoovering, polishing, dusting, mopping, emptying bins, cleaning interior windows and sills, cleaning woodwork and doors, desks and furniture, cupboards and storage areas, and polishing.
* Cleaning: Clean staff and communal tenant/licensee bathrooms and WCs to a good standard. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, hoovering, wiping and sanitising surfaces, toilets, sinks, showers, baths, grout and sealant, mirrors and screens, polishing, cleaning fixtures and fittings, emptying bins and restocking supplies.
* Cleaning: Clean staff and communal tenant/licensee kitchens to a good standard. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, hoovering, wiping and sanitising surfaces, sinks, interior windows and sills, woodwork and doors, restocking supplies, cleaning grout and sealant, mirrors and screens, polishing, cleaning fixtures such as taps and splashbacks, emptying bins, cupboards, and appliances (fridges, freezers, ovens, hobs, microwaves).
* Wash and launder communal fabric items or fabric items from voids (e.g., curtains and towels) as required.
* Clean, dry and store communal crockery and cutlery as required.
* Clean and clear void properties following tenant/licensee departure to meet re-let cleanliness standards.
* Deep clean offices, communal areas, void properties, bathrooms and kitchens as required.
Ordering & Organising
* Ensure sufficient cleaning materials are available for cleaning activities to a good standard.
* Ensure appropriate cleaning equipment is available for cleaning activities to a good standard.
* Ensure waste is minimised and usage delivers value for money, with materials stored safely in line with policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Essential:
* A good standard of spoken English with the ability to understand written policies and procedures.
Desirable:
* GCSE (or equivalent) English at grade 4 or above.
* Full, current UK Driving Licence.
Experience
Essential:
* Previous experience as a Facilities Assistant for a housing provider, local authority, hospital, or care home.
* Experience of using domestic and commercial cleaning equipment.
Desirable:
* Experience of working with vulnerable young people.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Strong understanding of safe working practices and COSHH requirements.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of safeguarding best practice.
* Knowledge of lone working best practice.
