Kingston Recruitment are working with a well-established, independent shipping agent based in Hull who are looking to recruit a Shipping Administrator to join their close-knit and supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected local business where you will play an important role in supporting shipping operations and maintaining strong relationships with customers. While previous shipping or logistics experience would be advantageous, full training will be provided for the right candidate with strong organisational and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Administration and preparation of shipping documentation
* Liaising with customers regarding their shipping requirements
* Preparing and setting up quotations on the internal system
* Coordinating logistics assets both nationally and internationally
* Providing administrative support to the wider operations team
* Training further on customs documentation and shipping processes
The Ideal Candidate
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Confident working with administrative systems and documentation
* Able to work effectively within a small, close-knit team
* Shipping, logistics or freight experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Hours: 08:30 - 17:30 (30-minute lunch). Once fully trained, there may be a requirement for occasional Saturdays on a rota basis.
