Social Workers Children’s Services
Salary: Band 7 (Level 2) Band 8 (Level 3), £36,124 - £41,511 per annum. Trafford offers a market factor supplement of £2,400 per year (pro rata) to attract and retain Level 3 (Band 8) social workers, payable monthly and reviewed annually.
Contract: Permanent
Location: Borough-wide, main offices at Trafford Town Hall or Sale Waterside

Our approach emphasizes strengths-based, relational, and restorative practices. We have invested in ongoing training and personal development through a 3-year programme with relational specialists, which has been acknowledged positively in Ofsted reports.
We are recruiting qualified social workers for various teams:
* Families First (localities): Child in Need Service working on locality basis with children and families requiring assessment. Roles available in Central (Sale), South (Altrincham), North (Stretford), West (Stretford). Hybrid working model.
* Support and Protect (localities): Child protection work with teams in South (Altrincham), North (Stretford), West (Stretford). Hybrid working model.
* Cared for Children and Care Experienced Young People: Supporting children in care and young people transitioning out of care, focusing on stability and support for trauma.
