Overview

The RoleTo provide a patient administration service within the Health Records Department, which administratively underpins the patient’s journey to and through the hospital, both inpatient and outpatient care, to meet the needs of patients and health care professionals.

What we\'ll need you to bring

* Educated to standard grade.
* A knowledge of health records gained through 2 years experience and/or qualification at SVQ level 2, ECDL or equivalent.
* Customer care skills.
* Computer literate and keyboard skills.
* Experience in multi tasking.
* Knowledge of Confidentiality and Data Protection.
* Knowledge of handling and moving skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative (working alone).
* Good interpersonal skills including an ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff at all levels.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.


It would be great if you also have

* Previous work experience in health records
* Ability to work in a busy environment


Contract type

* Fixed Term or Secondment for a duration of 12 months.
* Full time
* 37 hours

Note: This is a fixed term post for a duration of 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.


Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Health Records/GOPD/MAU1 within University Hospital Wishaw. Whilst this advertisement may be for a specific post(s) in a particular location, applicants who are shortlisted for interview may be considered for similar vacancies in alternative locations.
