About Our Client

The hiring organisation is a small-sized company operating in the industrial/manufacturing sector. They are committed to delivering high-quality services and value financial accuracy and efficiency within their operations.

Job Description

Banking & Cash Management

3. Process and post daily bank transactions accurately
4. Prepare and circulate daily banking reports
5. Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
6. Manage weekly BACS runs and process customer payments

Accounts Receivable & Credit Control

7. Maintain and manage debtor accounts
8. Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices
9. Prepare and review aged debtors' reports
10. Liaise with customers to resolve payment queries and disputes

Invoicing & Revenue Support

11. Raise invoices using Sage and Fred systems (including proforma invoices) (Shared responsibility)
12. Ensure all invoicing is accurate and issued in a timely manner
13. Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments (Shared responsibility)

Operational & Administrative Support

14. Handle dispatch documentation and ensure proper record-keeping as a cover
15. Monitor and respond to DMR inbox queries in a timely manner as a cover
16. Maintain accurate filing and documentation for audit purposes

Interyard Stock (Basic Oversight) (as a cover)

17. Assist in recording and reconciling interyard stock movements
18. Cross-check stock transfers against supporting documentation
19. Flag discrepancies between physical stock movements and system records
20. Support periodic stock checks and reporting

The Successful Applicant

Skills & Experience Required

21. Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role (AR focus preferred)
22. Familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage (experience with Fred is a plus)
23. Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and credit control processes
24. Good Excel skills and attention to detail
25. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
26. Strong communication skills for internal and external coordination

Desirable

27. Experience in logistics, recycling, or materials handling environments
28. Exposure to stock tracking or inter-site transfers
29. Understanding of weighbridge or dispatch documentation processes
