Responsibilities:
* Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirement.
* Support, implement and monitor all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 as well as all required company, customer and regulatory requirements.
* Support customer requirements including RCCA, business development initiatives and workshops.
* Act as a point of contact on all quality matters both internally and externally including suppliers.
* Support internal and external audit scheduling to maintain all accreditations across the business.
* Support company Red Table NCR/RCCA activities.
* Ability to review and decipher First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR’s).
* To act as a change agent ensuring the implementation of more robust quality controls and operating systems.
* Support and lead development of Waste Reduction & Variation Reduction practices and initiatives within the business.
Skills and experience required:
* Good understanding of the aerospace market.
* Wide knowledge of product and processes used in the manufacture of aerospace parts and assemblies.
* Use of inspection and measuring equipment.
* Champion / Lead continuous Improvement.
* Knowledge of AS, ISO and NADCAP standards.
* Ability to read and decipher engineering drawings.
* HNC in relevant discipline or Professional Quality Engineering qualification.
* AS9100 ISO9001 lead audit trained preferred.
* Ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing business environment.
