Prospero Teaching are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely team in Poole and support children aged 3-8 with a range of additional needs, such as autism, speech and language delays and developmental differences. You'll play a key role in creating a warm, inclusive environment where very child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Your role will include:
Provide tailored support to young children with SEN, helping them access the Early Years curriculum.
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
Assist with personal care routines where necessary (e.g. toileting and feeding)
Use visual aids, sensory resources and communication tools (e.g. PECS, Makaton)
What we are looking for:
Experience working with children in an Early Years or SEN setting
Knowledge of child development and early intervention strategies
Understanding of safeguarding and the importance of a safe learning environment
DBS on the Update Service (willingness to obtain one)
