We are currently looking for an Operations Auditor to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Operations Auditor will be responsible for ensuring that all products conform to specification through the required quality testing, measurements, and checks, and recorded in an accurate and efficient manner.
The role
* To embrace and participate in the strong Health and Safety culture
* To carry out all relevant Hep2O quality tests and checks as detailed in the current quality plan
* To accurately record and analyse all quality data and provide for reference all quality test results
* To accurately report and communicate quality issues when necessary to the relevant personnel, including operators, Product/Team Leaders and the Quality Supervisor
* To assist in setting of work standards to maintain high quality performance
* To provide feedback to operators on all quality related issues
* To work closely with the Operations Team to identify and implement quality improvements
* To assist in the training of Quality requirements to operators in assembly, moulding and extrusion
* To input Quality non-conformances into the system and work closely with the manufacturing teams to drive site improvements
* To carry out Traceability and other Operational checks routinely as part of a daily schedule.
* To carry out Goods-In inspection as specified in the relevant procedures
* To carry out audits as per the company audit schedules
* To actively participate in scheduled quality meetings
* Executing test procedures, utilising analytical equipment to carry out raw material testing on delivery
* To assist in investigation of customer complaints in collaboration with the operational team to determine the root cause of the issue and to establish robust corrective actions with the help of the operational and technical team
* Working with the local team on corrective actions resulting from customer complaints or internal quality issues to ensure actions are robust, meaningful and are monitored
* To manage and improve the internal calibration schedule by understanding the requirements in relation to criticality
* Be a visible and collaborative member of the quality team with all internal stakeholders.
* To assist during Third Party certification audits on site
* *In addition to the duties listed, the jobholder is required to perform other reasonable duties (within the job holders’ capabilities) assigned by line management
The profile
• An understanding of quality testing / checking procedures and the importance of accuracy and consistency
• Knowledge of effective Quality Improvement Tools including problem solving, root cause analysis and setting and verification of effective action plans
• A basic understanding of data analysis and the escalation procedure
• An understanding of how the quality function can impact production and other areas
• Excellent PC skills including excel
• Previous lab and manufacturing experience would be advantageous
• The confidence and aptitude to highlight quality related issues to peers and relevant Managers
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• The ability to correctly input test and other data into quality systems
• Effective communication; written, orally and electronically
• Demonstrate good planning skills for effective work organisation
• Have the ability to work alone and as a team member as appropriate
