What you’ll be doing day to day.
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, ensuring clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Maintaining efficient dispensary operations and minimizing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
You should have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required; if not completed, we will support your training within 6 months.
We also support your professional development towards NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services, which can lead to registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician and potentially an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Your pay and benefits will reflect your qualifications and roles.
