We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
* Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
* Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Support behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
* Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in care provision.
Skills
* First aid certification is highly desirable.
* Experience in nursing homes, assisted living, or home care settings is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
* Proficient in meal preparation and dietary needs assessment.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential.
* Experience in hospice care is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Empathy and patience when working with individuals requiring support.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
